Newest member of the clan. . . . .

Well this past weekend we added a new member to our clan. Hopefully he will be better at cleaning up after himself. So far though he has been good at entertaining everyone. I'm talking about our new miniature australian shepherd puppy Rascal. We have been wanting to get a new dog for awhile now. Our last dog Woody was unfortunately struck by a truck while he was walking with me when I was pregnant with Adam. Since we live in a rural area I like having a dog because they will let you know if someone is coming up the drive. Woody was good at doing that and also he would stick to you like glue whenever you were outside and not let you out of his sight. So, I noticed an ad in the paper on Friday for the puppies and decided to approach the subject with the hubby who said sure. Well, off we trekked Friday night to what seemed the other side of the moon until we finally arrived at out destination. Unfortunately for me there was a litter of 6 that we had the daunting task of choosing just one puppy from. After what seemed about 1 hour the kids had finally whittled their choice down to the puppy with the bluest eyes. So far he's blended right in with the usual chaos of the household. Hmmm I wonder how long it's going to take before he crosses that imaginary line and chews up someone's MP3 player. Oh the joys of payback. . . . .

I am so glad you live across the country and my kids will never know about your adorable new puppy. That's all I ever hear from them - "Can we have a puppy?" "NOOOO!" We have 2 older dogs and when they go on to their reward, we might consider it...or not.

Eva Braun here. Little Rascal visited us today and was a perfect guest. He most certainly entertained us with his adorable little self. Those eyes are so blue! He is a real keeper.
