FavFood of the Week.......

I haven't posted a fav food in quite some time by lately there is one thing that I make that lately seems to be very popular at gettogethers we have gone too. Jalapeno poppers. There are several things you can do to change up this recipe whether you like your peppers mild or hot. One trick is to leave a few "seeds" in place when you are hulling out the halves. This can be perceived as trying to change it up or simply trying to be mischievious! They are SUPER easy to make, have only a few ingredients, and people will think you have slaved in the kitchen making them. What more could you ask for? Hope you enjoy.
 Jalapeno Poppers
  • Approx. 20 jalapeno peppers 
  • 1 package of mild breakfast sausage.
  • 1-8 oz. Package cream cheese softened. 
  • 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese (not grated)
 Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Slice jalapenos in half long way and use teaspoon to hull out the inside being sure to rinse out all of the remaining seeds. Place jalapenos onto large cookie sheet. In large pan cook sausage until done. Add softened cream cheese and mix over low heat until incorporated into sausage. Add ½ of shredded parmesan cheese and mix until melted in. Using a spoon, fill jalapeno halves with approximately 1 teaspoon of the sausage/cheese mixture and place back onto the cookie sheet. Once you have all of the peppers filled, sprinkle each with the remaining ½ cup of the parmesan cheese. Place into oven and bake for 30 minutes or until jalapenos are done.
